ROAD and CYCLING NETWORK

Signage to inform all road users that bicycles including e-bikes are welcome on our roads. Segregate bicycle lanes when possible. Audit of the left-hand lanes of key cycling routes to ensure the road surface is bicycle friendly to encourage riders.

INFRASTRUCTURE and SIGNAGE

 Building the “missing links” between town paths. Provide better track information for bush tracks and trails. Apply markings and signage to “shared roads”, to increase the safety of walkers and cyclists.

RIDE and WALK to SCHOOL

Finding solutions to enable children to safely walk and ride to school (improved infrastructure and signage, better paths and connections).

MAPPING

 Creating a visual database of on and off-road tracks used by walkers and cyclists, overlaying these with user information and identifying connections between them.

MTB (Mountain Biking)

Making safe access to existing MTB trail networks, skate parks and future pump tracks. Developing Bundanoon, Wingello, Welby, the Northern villages and Belanglo MTB facilities and scenic walkways, including signage and promotional mapping material.
