Initial Projects
Our initial projects will focus on low cost, easily implemented projects that will provide safety for locals and visitors alike:
Connect fragmented parts of existing footpaths, multi-use paths and cycleways
Safe access to schools in towns and villages
Safe access to existing Mountain Bike trail networks, skate parks and pump tracks
Extensive signage for shared paths with directions including available mapping
Medium Term
Within a 5 year period, we are advocating for the following:
New cycle and walking access from Coomungie-Chelsea Gardens Estate to town centre and the MV-Bowral pathway.
Access to and development of Northern villages MTB Facilities and scenic walking, including signage and promotional mapping.
Access to walking and cycling scenic area around Bundanoon, including signage and available promotional mapping.
Access and development of Wingello walking and cycleways
Well marked shared roads (preferably turn some into one way streets which is easier and safer for traffic and walkers/cyclists).
Long Term
Within 5-10 years we’re advocating for the Southern Villages Iconic Trail, a mixed use trail linking Wingello to Bundanoon and through to Exeter, Meryla, and Fitzroy Falls. Such a trail would showcase the best our area has to offer and would be a national tourism drawcard.
